Yes it does rather - found this review which pretty much says it is a bargain at full price:
http://road.cc/content/review/169742-lusso-giro-rain-jacket

Free postage from Merlin as well.

Am mystified by sizing though - am 5ft8 (not big) but in this sort of jacket usually take a large as I use them for casual/touring not race-snake riding and might well have two layers underneath. The Lusso sizing chart appears to say I will need a large but that reviewer says that he is well over 6ft 2in and the medium is ample big enough for him. Have taken a gamble and ordered a large - Merlin appears to have a decent returns policy so I suppose I could have ordered a M and L but find returning stuff a fag.

was hoping simon might be able to come back with fit info but I guess he's busy and I needed to order.

many thanks for the thumbs up on it though simon - maybe I have eventually found my Vail replacement.
Well, report.

It has been worn on some fairly nippy days in London last few days (warmer spring/hint of summer late coming this year) and kept me pretty warmish with two layers beneath - ie: it pretty successfully blocked the wind. It has also been rained on and though of course it's not designed/specced to keep off a steady heavyish downpour (but neither was the fabled vail) it did pretty well - the zip isn't sealed/protected from rain on the outside but there is a flap on the inside of the zip.
I was able to test the "boil in the bag" threat as well as I did exert myself a bit and I also frequent one of the hillier bits of London. Yes a bit of moisture inside high up at the back but nothing remotely problematical. In short, no way is it boil in the bag.
Lusso sizing was pretty standard for UK bike wear as I was advised above so the large was definitely the right size for me. As that press review indicated, yes, it is long in the arms - strictly they could have been a tad shorter for me but no great problem at all, especially as the cuffs are nicely elasticated.
The top folds into its own back pocket and is then something between the size of a large orange and a small grapefruit.
All in it's brilliant. A bargain. With the weather getting slowly better, and personally favouring a layered approach, I can see this being my main top until we hit winter again, so I have actually ordered a second one.
Merlin service good as well - free postage - ordered at the weekend, picked Monday with an email to say it had been sent (normal non express non tracked Royal Mail) and it came Tuesday. The package is actually small enough to go through most letterboxes.
With my Aldi heavier duty black waterproof I'm now sorted I think - I do have two goretex tops but now rarely wear them.
In short, thoroughly recommended. If folks have any questions, just ask.
