Looks like it - although the Halfords website has the reduced bikes (listed as 2012/13 models) listed alongside the 2014 model which is still at the normal price (less the 10% off road bikes promotion).

It is the 2012/13 model as it has the ST-2300 Gears.
My dad has the bike and seems to really enjoy it. He got it for £220 about 4 months ago.

I have just emailed halfords as their sizing listed them as sizing not comparable to boardmans website and i really need an XS 52 rather than the SM 54 i have now to be a perfect fit without changing stems etc .

Sorry I wasn't clear in my post. I just don't see it being worth anything close to the "sale" price. Whilst probably intricate, the measurement device (strain gauge) held within is surely priced at a level for the niche target market (pro teams, etc.)
