Well to be brutally honest the £9 bib shorts don't compare to Castelli or Rapha but then again I obviously didn't expect them to, they're the cheapest bib shorts I've ever seen or worn and far out perform the cheap decathlon shorts at twice the price that I once had, I also bought some waterproof trousers on the halfords sale and again am extremely happy with them - especially for £9.

Glad to hear it lol. I have fallen into these Halfords "sale" traps before and with hindsight really wished I hadn't bothered. Royally messed about and just wasn't worth the hassle. The way some idiots on other sites witter on about the "bargains" they have picked up at Halfords - good luck to them - they really haven't!

Having said that....



This is a genuine bone fide bargain for anyone looking for a first road bike & IMO has to be the best value beginner road bike in the UK. £30 delivery charge so for that one would hope it has all been set up and is just a case of attaching the bars and minor adjustments.

I love the fact that they have included rear guard mounts and priced to sell as a winter trainer as well as a beginner bike.

Shame it hasn't been posted on other sites where no doubt this would get "heat" and not many who are in the market for a 1st road bike are going to see on here. Maybe a member of that site should post for guaranteed heat - and to help newbies out?

Ideal 1st road bike. Better / similar spec to my branded 1st road bike that I bought in 2011 for £650.

LOL - definitely in the spirit of this thread. A £330 full bike from a very decent seller is just linked then goes to a £950 groupset from perhaps the worst UK bike & component seller!

Probikekit is a thoroughly shonky company - owned by The Hut Group - just put that into Google for reviews of how dodgy they actually are. I would recommend Wiggle, Merlin, Ribble, Chain Reaction - PBK - not to my worst enemy - utterly awful. No CS phone no says a lot!

It's just a shame that the usual deal thieves that browse this thread aren't really interested in helping others. Otherwise they would have posted the £330 Merlin beginner bike on a more widely accessed site like http://www.hotukdeals.com/

You are going to be guaranteed heat at that deal....Why not post? And whilst your at it try the £950 Di2 - LOL!!!!

I have never had an issue with PBK.
It took me 2 seconds to find their customer service number.

I'm sorry you have had a bad experience with them, but I would not wish anybody to miss a deal on their site because of one negative review.

For £30 they're a steal especially if you want a jersey that doesn't look like a bike jersey. Sizing is more of a race fit so you might want to size up if you're on the larger size.
