I bought a pair of these today

http://www.evanscycles.com/products/specialized/bg-sport-touring-shoe-ec025555

£60 reduced from £75. I didn't want the full on ice skate effect of a road shoe when off the bike but also wanted to retain my spd pedals that I have on both my road bike and my MTB. These fit the bill perfectly.

I have a pair.
Good shoes. However the sole is not very stiff. Any ride over 5 or 6 hours then my feet get very tired in them and start to ache.

I'm thinking of springing for this http://www.evanscycles.com/products/specialized/bg-toupe-plus-comp-saddle-ec034165#reviews as the saddle that came with my bike is so uncomfortable.

Thats a bargain. I bought it at around £65 I think and at the time it was discounted down from £90. I have this on my road bike and it was certainly better than the previous saddle...I'm not pain free on the longer distances but that may be because I dont get out often enough. These saddles really do single out your sit bones so prepare for a couple of painful rides initially. The cut out seems to help a lot for me, I dont get the numbnuts anymore.

Not sure if it has already been posted but Wiggle are doing BOGOF on a box of High5 gels. Granted it isnt as good as the deal a couple of weeks back at Halfords but its probably the best available at the moment.

£19.80 or £17.42 if you are a Platinum customer. Don't forget cashback...

I ordered one of these merino base layers today in preparation for the autumn. I paid £24.99 which is the cheapest merino layer i have found in my size. If its a load of C*^p i will come back on and tell you but a cycling friend of mine assures me his is good quality. I thought it was worth sharing.

On-One Merino Core Long Sleeve T Shirt 160g

This item turned up from OnOne in record time, the sizing is just right and i've worn it on a couple of early morning runs and it works well. I shall put it away until the cold returns. Its washed up well. Still haven't seen merino cheaper.

Shimano 105 5701 10 speed chain with a choice of lengths £15.99

This comes with the Shimano joining pin, so if you want to make it easily removable you will need a joining link as well
