Ultegra Quick Release Skewers for £6.99 at CRC. Out of stock at the moment but hopefully they'll be back in stock at the same price soon

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=87528

Edit: Just back from Poundland. They've got the pink Muc-off type stuff in 1L bottles, 20", 24" and 26" tubes, three different coloured mudguards and the usual lights for £1. It all looks like good value for a quid, I've got the Muc-off stuff and I'll see how I get on with it.

They might be back in stock on the skewers but seriously - what is the point? They are damn heavy IMO and I am far from a weight worshipper. My standard QRs do the same job and are the same weight. I use these but more for "security" http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=94793

Also that Poundland "bike wash" is a complete waste of money. Better off just using washing up liquid. Which I think it is - load of rubbish.

At least you now have a spray bottle. Buy this instead - http://www.evanscycles.com/products/fenwicks/fs1-cleaner-concentrate-ec020494 - THE best bike wash bar NONE. Dilute it to make 10 LITRES of Muc Off equivalent - but better. BONUS - you can use this stuff neat in chain baths etc.

Wish I had known about this before wasting plenty of £ on Muc Off, £ shop & Specific chain cleaners. Best bike cleaning product BAR NONE.

I can confirm that the code I posted before works too + cashback - damn it - sold it to myself!!

I'm seriously starting to wonder about the users on here....

What's the point in those QR's? Well, I need that type because a standard QR lever will not be secure enough to hold a single speed rear wheel in my steel frame. Also, how is 126g for a set of QR skewers (that's 63g each) 'damn heavy'?

I bet you haven't even tried the Poundland bike wash.

I went in Aldi today for some beer for my Dad for fathers day. I always shop in there and had noticed the remnants of the May cycling event for ages. I had a closer look this time and noticed that the short sleeved cycling jerseys had been reduced to £5.99 (originally £15.99) and there was quite a few size large. I bought 2 even though I do not really need them, absolute bargain.

Wiggle have a pack of 6 Lifeline tubes for £10.99.
Not sure of the quality though think I remember @rich p bought some.

Bought a 2 pack of Lifeline road tubes as spares recently. Haven't inflated them inside a tire yet, but they held air fine for a good few days testing until I let them down to pack in to my saddle bag.

Just spotted that Aldi are having another cycling gear sale on the 7th of July. It was on the last page of their online leaflet so suppose it's also on their in store leaflet too.
