Ah... you buggers. I had my eye on a lovely chainset (ultegra 10sp double, 165) to replace the bust up front of the SMGTe, and its gone from 'lots' to 'none'. My own fault. Its been sat in my wishlist for a good 2 weeks, but I didn't want to jump in until the insurance money arrived.

Early bird, and all... Darn.
Deore disc brake.

Yes, I know it's a Euro front brake so the lever is the wrong one, but my question is if I bought a pair of these how easy would it be to swap one of the levers on one and fit longer tubing on the other for the rear?
This video shows how to replace hydro cables, not for this specific model but I believe it's very similar. I've heard of people just using a hammer instead of using the specialist tool for inserting the needle into the end of the hose, although not sure how recommended that is!

Edit: Helps if I actually link the video!

I was undecided about 230mm or 290mm so went for the 290's. 230mm just doesn't sound like it would be long enough, even though I don't really have a long reach. Better too long and not grip right at the end than too short and be cramped, I would think (hope).
I did a quick measurement last night, iirc my elbow to wrist was near 290mm, so I went with the 290's too.
