Read again , when ordering online you get another 25 % off.....i think your the one with too many sherries
Edit i actually went for the bladed 501s at £69 seems the std spokes are out of stock .

I've been looking at those but the bladed spokes are slightly offputting. What are the pros and cons of them? (if any!)

I have no set formula`s , etc .
I doubt at club run/recreational level they make any noticeable benefit but i felt rightly or wrongley that a standard rim with bladed spokes would be better for general riding than a 30 mm rim with standard spokes. After a google it would seem they offer a bit of advantage in a straight line but any side wind would counteract the benefit.
Of course i think they look cool

What's "offputting" about them?

Offputting in that they look slightly odd to me, and seeing them on a budget set of wheels doesn't seem right either.

Saying that...

I'm not that bothered! They're going to be an improvement over what I have now and since they're at least £20 quid cheaper at Ribble than anywhere else except Rose, plus a new cassette, tubes & tyres would be good too, they're in the sale too so all in it's well under £150. As I said, I'm not that bothered .

Right, that's that. Wheels, cassette, tubes & tyres (Vittoria Rubino's) for less than £120. Can't be bad can it? I'm sure they're going to be an improvement over the standard Triban wheels & tyres...
