Phaart rear lights are back at £2.50 (£2.50 delivery, free for over £20). Previous thread have concluded these are almost as bright as the smart R2, at a seventh of the price!
They also have many other lights including fronts that are very similar to smarts

I checked that link - which particular Phaart rear light is it you mean?

Can you or someone point me at the thread that says such great things about it?

How do Phaart rear lights compare to Smart Lunar R2?

The dual 0.5W. These sold out within a few days last time they were on offer. They are as bright as a car rear fog (I did a comparison shining onto my garage door). The smart build quality is better, but I've had no issues with mine so far, and have ordered more.
This looks like the same light on amazon, mostly 5 star reviews, and at just under £15 delivered!

Aldi skiing baseleayers, the compression ones. These are superb and only £9.99. My preferred baselayer (and I have some expensive merino ones and numerous cycling specific ones) is still the Aldi skiing one I bought 2 or 3 years ago.

If you fancy converting your MTB triple to a double and bash, look no further than this guy. Well made, very lightweight, does exactly what it says on the tin, but most astonishing was the fact that he sold me one and shipped it from Americashire for less than 12 quid. This one is the 36g superlight, but the standard ones aren't much heavier, and are guaranteed for life. Cast down your heads in shame Hope, you expensive people you!

mm - they might be technically good but I tried two on and it was a very weird feeling. Suppose other cycling compression stuff is the same - maybe I'm the wrong sort of cyclist or not kinky enough

I did however buy one of the Merino base layers - probably still there in some stores - felt very good quality - remains to be seen exactly how it performs or stands up to my washing machine.
