Five liters (!) 500 ml Citri-clean (citrus based cleaner/degreaser) for £4.99 (£7.49 with P&P) on Amazon.co.uk:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Universal-N...AELK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1334571214&sr=8-2

Data sheet/ingredients can be found there: http://www.aaronchemicals.co.uk/cdata/36349/docs/1877620_2.pdf. It is biodegradable and has not listed hazard.

Looks like a good deal if this works as well as the overpriced citrus degreasers sold £20/L !
This is a normal price for an industrial degreaser.

Lidl have a few more cycling bits. I got the tool-kit a couple of years ago. Not the highest quality BB Adjustable cup tools but the rest seem ok.

I can't work out if it would be worth me getting this, since I have some stuff already and I'm pretty new to maintenance so I don't know how much useful specialist stuff is in there that I don't have. I have normal spanners, screwdrivers and allen keys, a chain tool, chain whip, cassette tool and puncture stuff of course. Apart from the unimpressive BB thingy, is there much I'm missing in there?

Probably not as you seem to have picked up a few tools as you went along and those tools, though almost definitely more expensive, will be just as definitely better quality. I bought the LiDL toolkit a couple of years ago and it has been generally useful but when the chain tool broke I found myself without a usable chain. And unfortunately my LBS is very expensive so I ended up having to pay amost the same price as the toolkit for one just tool. (It's a very very nice chain tool though  )

Bpught a pack of the reflectors, to see whether they are worthwhile, check out the picture.

Wouldnt be without them.

The Lidl kit gets my use in this order

decent spoke key
chain tool
cassette remover
crank puller kit (for removing the chainring)
Bottom Bracket Tool.
Pedal Wrench

I probably missed a few but if you only need a couple of these items it becomes a Thursday must buy.

It was too good to be true... I only received a 500mL bottle today! Far from the 5kg or the container that was pictured. I have contacted the seller to try to resolve this amicably, but if this is not an error, it is certainly very misleading (and the RRP corresponds to the 5L product on their website).

Not just misleading, wrong. The product details lists the item weight and boxed-product weight as 5kg.

Yes, I had a chat with them. I believe it is a genuine error and they acknowledge the problem. They have been responsive and apologised so I cannot be too harsh with them. Anyway, the price for 5L would be £22.

What you think of the chain washer not exactly top of range but it'll do The job I suppose. Toolkit worth it need to invest in tools now?
