The sizing seems a tad large and I had to go for one size smaller than norm.

Cycle Surgery has some Assos gear- mille shorts, jersey, jacket, at half price; which makes them almost affordable !
Just had an e-mail from them; haven't checked their site to check sizes or availability as I don't want to be tempted.

On a Cycle Surgery-related note:

My local Cycle Surgery is inside a large Snow & Rock Store, just down the road from work. I've been down at lunchtime today to pick up some mud guards and some overshoes and there are big signs everywhere stating that they'll price match any other store, including online stores and special offers. As a result, a basket of stuff that *should* have cost me nearly £60, actually cost me less than £45. :biggrin:

Tiny DV recorders at Ebuyer.Com for 12.99, usually 27.69. I bought one a number of months ago. It has a number of attachments with it. I clipped mine to my saddlebag for rear view recording and it can fit snug in some helmet vents. The offer usually last 24hrs so it wont be this price for long..........

Sorry about missing out the link, typed in quick then rushed out to work. Not before buying another one. I am adapting an old cycle helmet to house two of these cams on both ends {for and aft}

I've just bought my brother a Smart Lunar 35 front light from Evans after getting them to price match here: http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/smart-lunar-35-lux-front-light--id53330.html for £25.95 from £39.99 so for me a bargain.

I know this is more than Planet X but they have them in stock where Planet X don't and only reason I got it from Evans is because they're always quick and reliable and was buying something else from there too so will get them together.

I've got a couple of pairs of black magic gloves with rubber dots all over the palms from charity shops (I wear them for outdoor work too and need to wash them regularly). They're £1.99 in BHF, £1.79 in Age UK. Not as warm as the DeFeet gloves I have (and since they're magic gloves they'll be less warm the bigger your hands are), but good for the current weather, people who are too cheap to buy bike gloves, or to have as a spare pair.

From Sunday Aldi have a 5W Cree LED torch taking 3xaaa batteries for £10.99

http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/special_buys3_21969.htm?WT.mc_id=2011-11-18-10-19

I bought a 3w cree 2 x aa torch last year and it is really good. Flashing or constant mode, sits on my helmet. I expect these 5w jobbies will be as good.

We bought one at the weekend - as a torch I think it is good, fantastically bright. I'm not so sure how good a bike light it would make. I think the shape of the lens would irritate other road users by spread the light too much or be too bright in the most focused setting. (Tried it in the garden and it showed up as a small square within the general light of my Hope on max, whereas in it's most wide spread setting the Hope was brighter generally).
