Yes, and Wiggle first bought CRC making the two sites fairly identical in pricing whilst also mauling the quality web site CRC had.
The two site presence is near pointless.

I miss the CRC brand being a business that originated 3 miles from my house and who had a large warehouse and shop 0.5 miles from my front door. I bought too much stuff from CRC because it was handy, their sales were great and stock was always available plus their returns policy was 2nd to none.

Since the Wiggle takeover, I rarely buy anything from them as the site is much worse (where have all the filters gone like sort by discount?!), prices aren't as good and they've closed everything local to me.

CYCLE clothing companies do not know how to make gloves.[not mitts, to be clear]

And when they DO produce something half-usuable, we're so amazed. we pay twice as much as for the equivalent climbing product.

Balfes Bikes have a Black Friday price guarantee at the moment. Anything you find reduced when bought between 20th October and 30th November will result in store vouchers if the price goes down after you buy it provided you claim by 14th December.

As luck would have it, my bike was reduced by £70. Kerching! Now just the small matter of arranging as few parcels as possible to arrive so that I win a bet with my wife. She thinks 1 new bike = x10 parcels. I am already at 4…
1. broken bike package,
2. new bike package hopefully arriving undamaged sometime this week/next
3. rack and guards which were supposed to be fitted before dispatch (I can ask bike shop to fit and they’ll reimburse up to £30, probably do it myself).
4. Extras I’ve bought with the vouchers.

My size but they are nylon soles, would be good for a begginer.

London Road not bad for a commuter.

That Scott is practically a BSO you could buy a brilliant bike second hand for £800.

@Milzy I don’t agree with the BSO comment. Yes it has basic Claris running gear but it’s got full internal routing cable which you don’t see on many bikes under £1.2k these day so makes for a very clean look. Compared to the lower entry 50 model it is reasonable and against other brands it’s competitive. I’d see it as a upgrade worthy frame unlike say a Carrera vanquish while half the price is no where near as good in terms of quality of finish (I own one).
