Does anyone have any experience of this camera.

I don't really know what to look for if and when I buy a Helmet-cam. I know this says it's not waterproof but neither is my phone but I still make calls when it's raining + I am mainly a fair weather rider

The ASDA Superstore that I use (Great Bridge, Tipton, DY4 7HW) is stocking Weldtite bike maintenance products. TF2 aerosol Teflon lube was priced at £3, which I thought was a good price. Also, their own brand 'WD40' was priced well. It works well, too.

In my LBS they have bottle cages for £6.99... bit steep for a tight fisted git like me, so I went to Wilko to buy thier £3.99 equivalent and to my surprise they had an ultra cheap bottle cage for £1.99... so I dug deep, counted the coppers and grabbed one. Then I went to the pound shop (always an after thought) and found a better (but not much) bottle cage for, you guessed it... a pound!

Just bin looking on ebay and saw the identical cheap plastic bottle cage, shipped directly from China for... just over fifty quid more than the pound shop

Cycle Promotions who do one day sales across the country are visiting Meadowbank Edinburgh on Sunday 2nd October, 10:30 to 3pm. I have been the last two years and it is worth a visit even just to pick up odds and ends. Google Cycle Promotions to see the range of stuff they sell. I signed up for their mail out reminder and I get a free can of GT85 lube if I take the mailshot with me on the day.

SportsDirect are offering free delivery at the moment. They've got a lot of cheap cycle clothing (£7 jerseys, £5 shorts) - IMHO it's not fantastic quality, but at those prices it's virtually disposable.

Karrimor Running tights are good for wearing on top of cycling shorts/bibshorts

in cooler weather - better than padded cycling tights, as one pair of tights can be worn for a few rides, while only the shorts get washed.

The only difference I could see was the kevlar edges, which suits me fine as it means I don't have to be super careful when leaning the bike against a wall. Same shape, same or at least similar weight, still has a 30% carbon base, vanox rails and their faux leather covering (can't remember what it's called).

The covering on this one looks like a reagular grain finish and I'm hoping that's the case when it arrives. Some of the XC branded SLRs have a gawd awful looking shiney PVC like covering. It'd make your bike look like something out of an Ann Summers catalogue.
