I've only been paying vague attention to this, but am I right in saying that all they had to do was finish to win because theirs was the only car which met new engine specs or something?

Decent game between Serbia and Costa Rica I thought. Very tactical. Another great free kick the only real difference.

Yeah - Alonso's stint in the wee hours after Buemi's stop & go was just amazing.

Some good racing further down the field as well.

Had to really feel for JB though. To get a sick car that far, only for the engine to go *bang* was just heartbreaking.

After Audi & Porsche pulled out to go electric racing, sort of. The LMP1 hybrids have an advantage over the LMP1 non-hybrids in the fuel usage stakes, therefore they can go faster for longer. The leading non-hybrid Rebellion was iirc 12 laps down on the winner.

But this is endurance racing, and anything can happen. And it invariably does.
