Aperitif has improved his Garmin use, no simple additional loops now, he's moved on to figures of 8, concentric circles all interspersed with some impressive zigzags:biggrin:

.....and I'm buying a map of Kent at lunchtime.

Where's Kent?

The only one I know spends half his time in a phone box and the other half wearing a cape (CTC member you see...)

Anyway Chris, it will be an ideal time for you to meet richp, another stalwart of this forum- he's hooked now and would find the allure of Sig's cherry cake, and the warmth radiating from the candles on yours, too much to resist! Eh rich?

And I can't remember where I left the Garmin yesterday...

I suspect Aperitif could sell his satellite evasion techniques to the Iranians for a tidy sum.

East Londoners cycling back can use the Dartford Crossing. It's fine for small numbers, but suitable for group rides.

Or the Gravesend-Tilbury ferry? Not sure if it still runs. It did when I was 15 and touring. That would be a great short cut for me (and Sig possibly). I need to check they still take bikes.

Apologies - still going, and I should have mentioned it. I've never taken it, because it's not too frequent at the weekends.
If any of you intend to return via Dartford the wrinkle is to get them to drop you off at Junction 31 rather than their northern office.
