Came down with what I think was flu on Friday and am starting to get over it now.

It was a short lived bout but it was bad, very bad. Everything you would expect flu to be. Inability to move, no appetite, very sensitive to temperature, delirium. Another thing was aching in my legs. I am also 3 kgs lighter now due to not eating for three days.

The question is, will the muscle have survived and the fat around my waist been broken down or was the aching in my legs due to the body eating up muscle?

After thinking about it. It may not have actually been flu

. Especially given that it came and went in about three days. But it was bad anyway and the question still remains.

My bet is that most of your weight loss is dehydration due to sweating.

My son and I are both just getting over what sounds like the same thing. Last night despite it being 20 degrees in our living room I suddenly started shivering uncontrollably later on bathed in sweat ..

Its not nice but seems to be going quickly. Both of us have had the aching legs thing also I have an aching back but that may be due to lying in bed too long.

Peed off as The weather is quite good here at the moment .

also I have an aching back but that may be due to lying in bed too long.

Just what I thought as well. I also had a headache, sweating, shivering, congestion. Had to sleep fully clothed to stay warm. In fact I was not comfortable unless I was at fever temperature.

It's probably most likely that I lost weight through dehydration.

Hows it going "earth" were both a lot better but still very weak and sleeping a lot. This is day 4 for me day 5 for my son.

Also eating for Britain now.

PS I have lost 5lb in weight since I last weighed on Friday morning last week. Strongly suspect that I will be back to normal weight by this Fridays weigh in.

I've had the same thing this week. Went to bed poorly on Sunday afternoon and didn't really get up again until Wednesday night, apart from a brief trip to the doctors on Tuesday night. I'm back at work today but far from feeling ok.

Doctor confirmed it was just a flu type virus and sort of told us off coming to see him but he did agree that a 40 degree body temperature and hallucinations is the point to start taking things seriously!

I have no idea why but the only thing I could stand to eat or drink was Copella Apple Juice for four whole days. I wouldn't normally recommend fad diets but I dropped 6lbs this week on the Copella & Sweat Plan.
