I have had a JoeBlow Max for a couple of years, but I'm a bit underwhelmed by it. I weigh 74 kg and it really needs all my body weight to get a road tyre up to 7 bar. It hurts my wrists doing that. There has to be a better one.

Plus of course the problem of is the gauge reading correctly..

I haven't had a problem with it, to be honest. I weigh under 50kg, and I can get tyres up to 120psi without killing myself to achieve it. (I don't run my tyres at those pressures, by the way. I thought I'd see what the pump could do, but had to stop when I reached the max pressure for the tyre. I think I could have gone higher with it.) Ours is about 5 years old now.

The gauge is also fairly accurate on ours for road pressures. At around 70-80psi, it reads 5psi higher than my new SKS Airchecker, which is my favourite toy now I have it, and an absolute essential for mountain biking, in my opinion. (The Joe Blow isn't anywhere near accurate at the extremely low pressures - 10-15psi - I run on my MTB tyres.)

I have a Joe Blow Sport 2, I love it, it is robust, stable and most importantly easily inflates my tyres to 120 PSI. I imagine it is also fine for getting 140+ PSI on tub's will see in the new year. One of the best thing's I have ever bought.
