Are you crazy? Lol. There can't be any grip on the bottom to hold onto the pedal.
They seem to run a little small. I didn't like how they fit, and opted for regular cycling shoes instead. They were about as cool.Thanks all for the replies, amusing and serious. I gather then the grip of the pedals is the main risk. Might look at some proper cycling sandals then like these:

Totally agree,if its comfortable then wear it however its true my eyebrows do raise a tad when @hopless500 wears hers in 5" of snow.I quite often cycle in these (but then I tend to live in these anyway, which can cause a few raised eyebrows eh @Hill Wimp ?)
But I also have Keen cleated sandals with a toe, and MTB cleated shoes. Which I wear depends on what I'm doing
