fitting new v brakes on alu bike

Started changing the v brakes on a 4 yr old cube.
The back brake has come away with bolt and thread.
Is that the end of v brakes for thi bike??

Or if it's knackered, get a new one for the price of a pint.

I suspect the frame mount might need drilling-out and a tapped sleeve fixing into the cavity (perhaps with epoxy, or pinned through the sides) as it looks like the whole lot is stripped.
Otherwise I can only think of having the mount replaced (which is going to mean brazing welding and some paintwork).

I'd take it to a local garage and/or bike shop and see what they suggest (and how much)
