So many friends bought a decent track pump for home, but figured a cheap mini pump would be fine ..... WRONG .... Luckily i was there to bring out the cavalry in the form of a lyzene pressure drive

and not a consumable cartridge in sight).
You can buy a lot of 'consumable cartridges' though for 30 odd quid  I bet I've only used about 4 in as many years!

I might have bought the wrong Joe Blow. I got the Joe Blow Max II, and TBH I'm quite underwhelmed by it, and I'm struggling to see what the extra tenner gets you by buying the 'Sport' version.

TBH I might even send it back and get another Decathlon one to keep at work instead.

I'm not thinking about the financial cost. I'm thinking about waste and damage to the environment.

I've actually got the Joe Blow Max rather than the sport version. I've had mine for 5 years, and have no trouble getting tyres to 120psi with it - and I'm only a very small woman. Maybe the one you got is faulty.

Maybe. I don't have any trouble at all using it, but it's just not as easy to pump as my Decathlon one.

I've seen other comments that the JB's aren't the easiest pump action too, so perhaps it's just a characteristic?

I'll have a think over Christmas then make a decision whether to keep it or not.
