Cyberknight...never look down on the work you do commuting! Know it isn't as satisfying as a good run out but the bread and butter makes a man!
Cheers , i could do with a bit of motivation as its been a bit of a non starter for me this year what with the birth of ck #2, ck#1 kidney problems. wifes ongoing medical issues and short time at work means i have avoided going on club runs sometimes as the cost of the obligatory cake stop has sometimes been a factor , just sold some bits so ck#1 could have a bike .

Wow...looks fantastic. You gonna go clipless?

I reckon I will go clipless in the future once I get used to the bike. The ride was massively different from the mountain bike I had before this. You dont realise what you are missing until you get a road bike.

David K- its in Lyndhurst in the New Forest Hampshire. Lots of roads around there for me to ride.

Glad you're enjoying it...took me a while to get over the initial aches from a different body position but now riding is smooth and I love the speed of the road bike

Sorry to hear that it's been a crumby year in terms of cycling. Hope the wife and young one get better soon but major congrats on the new arrival (hopefully your getting some kind of sleep!)

Lush mate i like it im loving the black bar tape think i might have to invest in that  i believe we have the same cycle computer by the looks of it lol im the opposite though i wish id bought a larger saddle bag tbh ! i bought the small topeak from Halfords wish id bought the next size up now

I know Boardmans have there knockers (mainly with the link to Halfords from what i can make out etc) and the looks i sometimes recieve when im out riding  however i love my bike its My first roadie well second if you include the 2 week disaster i had with the Boardman race :headshake:and if your lucky enough to have a decent branch of Halfords near you then i think they are excellent value bikes especially as they are always doing some deal or another  .

Also loving the black bar tape. Mine was on C2W so will only have to pay about £600 in total for the bike and loads of accessories, bargain! Looking at this photo makes me realise I need to bet some black bottle cages my blue one looks out of place. First thing on my list, once I get paid anyway.

I love Hampshire, we used to spend a lot of time in the New Forest when we were kids, a relly had a hotel there and we would spend much of the summer with them. Fantastic cycling. Looks like you had a cracking day for your first ride out. Lovely bike too, I am ever so slightly envious.
