The start is not that far from you either.

It's about 5 miles down the A1M and 50 miles along the A59 isn't it?

Yes, we had a good turnout on this year's ride. I reckon it was over 40, but nobody counted the exact number.

well done Andrew, good av speed as well wish I had a route as flat as that to ride

Were I live it's flat but just like yourself fella it could get very hilly within 5 miles, I just choose to avoid them lol, NOWAY in hell I could do 50 miler where you are, going out on Sunday with RCC 39 miles average gradient over the moors, I let's see if I look like a fool!

It's amazing what you can achieve when you put your mind to it, If I can do 50 milers in my area then anyone can do it, if you believe you can do it, more than likely you will be able to, admittedly my my average speed is so poor it looks like I ride in slow motion

I can do 50 mile rides, just don't like them very much, much prefer my quick couple of hours each day.
