amnesia

Free-wheeling into oblivion...
I am so looking forward to all this... NOT !

Ordered some M520s today, so once I have found some shoes I like (not decided on MTB or Road shoes yet) I will be able to add my name to the seemingly long list of people who run out of trackstand talent just before the lights change

M520's are a great pedal. They are the ones I use and are great for one and off road. You will soon get used to them I assure you

on a slightly different direction, my father-in-law was well used to riding m/c+sidecar combination, got rid of the side car pulled up at the traffic lights & completely forgot to put either foot down & when a bike starts to go there ain't no stopping it....

I went clipless yesterday. Spent a good hour sat on the bike holding onto the kitchen sideboard practising clipping in and out.

Went out along a cyclepath with junior smokie, practising clipping in and out constantly and found it soon became natural. Thought to myself this is a piece of cake. Until junior decided to just pull right across me and stop to look at a squirrel. But still got out of the clip before I hit the ground...in front of about 20 people stolling along in the sunshine...

Don't worry, stick at it and before long your feet will act on their own accord

I've only had clipless pedals for about a month now, I too have had a number of embarassing "clipless" moments, though (touch wood), think I've got used to them now (though not after chipping the paint on a brand new Hewitt tourer...)

I do believe I will be joining you in here as I have decided to take the plunge and have got myself a pair of Scott road shoest and some R540s, just waiting for the pedals to be delivered now and can't wait! Just don't want to scratch up my bike too much by falling off.
