Oaf on a Bike
Its worth thinking about puncture repair, its no fun learning how to fix a puncture miles from home in the rain so good to try taking a tube off and on at home and make sure you have the right stuff for the job.

The £30 krypto lock is good value and decent for using while you pop in a shop etc. I would want more if i were leaving it outside a shopping centre or workplace for hours though.

National Cycle paths seem to put avoiding roads at all costs which is probably why so many arent great for road bikes, so if you want to avoid roads, dont mind the route being rather indirect and at times somewhat offroady then theyre a good starting place for getting some miles.

I'm from Maghull so I'd probably start using the Maghull to Crosby path. Where abouts near/in Ormskirk is good?
