Bummer. I think you're right. Glue the handle back on and use it to store pens or pencils or stuff.

Yeah,not safe now for holding scalding drinks,but ok for putting odds and ends in.

I'll second that. Just not worth it, once a mug handle is broken, it's done from my perspective.

The mug/cup had a good life. 26 years isn't bad. I couldn't bear to bin it,so being a hoarder of mementos i've decided to keep it 'retired' in my cupboard,without gluing the handle back on. After all,they didn't bother to stick the arms back on this

so why should i bother about my cup's handle!

MrsP bought me this porcelain mug from M+S a few years back. 3/4 of a pint when full. Tea tastes wonderful from it.

Alas my mug has bitten the dust. Actually a glass jar of paprika fell out of the cupboard onto it and smashed it.
