Belter of an album.

Yes it is excellent, Aqua Dementia and Hearts Alive are my favourite tracks on it. Great band but they went all commercial after Crack The Skye, probably to make money. Not my thing anymore. They are the best band I have ever seen live. I seen the Crack The Skye tour at a small indoor venue in Manchester . It was fantastic, they did the whole album then they did some of their back catalogue. I was at the front but had to go further back when Circle Of Cysquatch came on. I would of got the sh1t knocked out of me, too old for that, and a dodgy knee. I think I saw them at the prefect time, the next album The Hunter was a huge let down for me personally...

And I bought this on the strength of the cover, bloody awful racket on the vinyl.

Faust Tapes.

You and I both. And I still have it!

In my hormonally charged late teens I went through a period of listening to some eclectic records, from David Bedford's Star's End, through Faust Tapes (as above) to this,

bought entirely on the strength of the album cover.

We have a very similar opinion and experience of Mastodon. Frustrating how they've gone, but someone has to pay the mortgage.

The sound. From the lions mouth. 1983 I think. Great album
