Vitorria Rubino's, Blue of course.
Done thousands of miles on them in dry and wet weather and they very rarely let me down.

I like Schwalbe Durano but find they cut up too easily and I can't afford to keep replacing them. For that reason I use Conti GP4000s. I find them fast, grippy and durable IME

[EDIT] oh and I use Conti Gatorskins on my commuter for all round dependability

P'ture wise they are great (I dont think I ever p'tured) but they let me down frequently grip wise, perhaps I needed a blue pair ;)
Back to the original question I think my favourite tyres are GP4000s or GP 4 seasons, having said that I've just fitted Mitch Carbons as they were a lot cheaper but if they live up to the hype they'll be my favourite. I only had them 720miles but they haven't let me down in that time.

Isn't it strange that one mans meat is another mans poison in regards to tyres.
You say you had trouble with grip, yet I find them very grippy.

Strange ain't it?

Michelin Pro Race - God's choice of tyre.
I've a mate who swears by them, in his words the grippiest tyres he's had. I considered them but some reviews say they wear/ cut up easy. How are you finding them?

I killed a set of ultremo's in 200 miles. They were seriously not up to the job around here, cutting like crazy, eventually the rear just kept puncturing so I binned them. I've got some gatorskins (folding) now and they're amazing, and no slower to my perception

Conti GP4000S for my 2 summer bikes and Conti Gatorskin Hardshell for the winter bike. I like Conti's and feel happy using them. Others will obviously have their own opinions, but these are just mine.
