I'm a fair weather cyclist, I refuse to go out in temperatures lower than -20 or winds stronger than 60mph or snow deeper than 20cm's.
If all three happen at the same time I just stay in bed, I mean work from home.

Here for rides.
I totally agree with the OP. But don't stop at fair weather cyclists, what about fair weather pedestrians?!!! They have no pavement sense, wander about, dawdle, stop without warning GRRRR. Get them off the pavements now!!

And why do unemployed / retired people and tourists insist on cycling, driving or using public transport during rush hour? It should be limited for working people only, the others should be made to take their journeys when the rest of us are at work/home.

Rant rant rant

What gets me going is pensioners who do their shopping on a Saturday morning.....

Do I like cycling in the rain? No
do I cycle when it's snowing? No way!
Do I cycle in the middle of winter when it's freezing cold and icy? No

guess I'm a fairweather cyclist then.......
......who cycles between march and oct / nov (ish) at least twice a week, clocks up an ok mileage and is not prone to doing stupid things.
Care to come for a cycle with me???

Ice stops me going out. But rain is fine as long as you're warm enough. Did 50 miles is the rain last Saturday

Ok, first let me say its cool that more people are cycling, but my issue with fair weather cyclists is they only come out for a couple of months a year (if that) and so they lack experience and do some stupid things. I think they should be made to have some training or just stay off the road.
Or be required to wear a pink fluorescent visibility jacket with 'Motorists, kiss my arse!' on the back. That should sort them out.
