@Arrowfoot I'd not thought about the problems it would cause to those who log in to everything via FB. I always think that that feels a bit dodgy!
Personally, I always log in direct to sites.

Facebook will gather large amounts of data on you as it is without you further aiding them.

That is a usage I have always hated.

A person is not "worth" what they possess. I know it is general usage, but I loathe it.

One lesson for all of us is not to use to FB, Google etc sign-off to access other 3rd party applications. Those using FB to authenticate login credentials to other sites failed. Always login directly.

That is an issue I hadn't thought of. I do quite often use Google, though I prefer a direct login to any site I use a lot.

The only frequent siteI log in to with Google is Strava (apart from the google owned sites such as gmail of course), and I've been wishing I could work out how to change that to a direct login for a while now, even before this.

[EDIT] Which turns out to be as easy as clicking the "forgot password" link, since it already had my email address. Duh! 🤦
