I always had more respect for drummers than bassists, I mean, what's the definition of a bassist?

Funky slap bass can be cool...saw a guy playing with Gil Scott Heron some yrs ago..loked like he had 10 thumbs and several hands coming off the one arm!
Rockabilly slap bass is also cool....
