I wouldn’t be so sure most of the dissent is from people who didn’t vote labour. We need ignore the noise and let them get on with it.

I may need to join the other site again

Gave my Born a decent clean inside and out today, really pleased with it so far, took my pal out in it today who has just bought a new Nissan Qashqai, I think he possibly thought he may have bought the wrong car!

I also found out that i can use the Tesla Supercharger network so signed up on their app, their tariff is pretty reasonable and I’ll use it on long journeys.

I agree with the point about making all manufacturers have a standard location for the charging point.
Same with fuel filler caps on ICE cars. I was told that those with fillers on the left are intended for countries who's traffic drives on the left, thus making refuelling easier, and on the right for countries with traffic on t'other side.
Does make sense. :okay:
My neighbour has a R/H drive Beemer, but her fuel cap is on the right, so make of that what you will - ! ^_^

Mini is usually on the left which is strange when they’re made by BMW

Not for safety reasons, at the side of the road?

Probably a sop by BMW as the Mini is still regarded by some as being 'British'.

But the suicide door on the R55 clubman opened on to the road

He brought in ending ice manufacturing
earlier from Europe.... Which will cause manufacturers to close uk factories..

Manufacturers have had to work with the targets as given to them. It takes years to plan build and convert car factories over.
What would be a huge problem is changing the plans. For example Stellantis at Ellesmere Port is now swapped over to electric only.
Jaguar have stopped ICE and will only make EV's from now on.
I know there will be troublesome times for car makers but they have to adapt. You can't just flick a switch and turn on a multinational supply chain for a completely different type of car.

Our 62-reg Kia Cee’d is on its way out…. Mrs Legs is making noises about possibly replacing it with a plug-in hybrid, since the majority of her mileage in it is relatively short commuting, and we want/need the safety net of being able to cover long distance in at least one of our cars (mine being a company car MG4 EV).

Does the panel have any experience and/or recommendations?
