Very cool! I also picked up cycling around the same time, and lost 6 stone as a result of it and this year I'm planning on doing coast to coast, I just need to weather to pick up so I can start training for it (my plan is to essentially do 3 rides on consecutive days of 50miles, and once I can do that I know I can do C2C). I currently walk 2.5 miles to college but hope to commute in the summer, I know some of you might look down on me for not commuting in the winter, but when it's 30mph wind outside and throwing it down I'd rather just walk in a raincoat :P

Congratulations, that's a brilliant set of achievements ticked off. 2 stone's impressive too, here's to 2012.

Stick the bike in the back of the car and come down to Rutland for a forum ride, currently aiming to be around the end of this month, we often do the same thing, done 6 rides so far from Manchester [thanks Fossy] Coventry [thanks Colin & Dave] and Cambridge [thanks Becks],well worth the trip and enjoyed them all.

I've actually clocked some of those Rutland Rides you have, but so far my shifts haven't coincided to allow me to get to them...

As for the end of this month, hopefully! However my rear shifter lever (SRAM Apex) broke on the way to work today. Its under warranty which is good as I can send it off for a free repair, but bad as I have to wait longer for the replacement part
