Emergency alert today ?

So who shat themselves ? Only my daughter as she had forgotten about it, and has never had her phone so loud. She could hear neighbours too. Mine is off and we are in Amsterdam so nee nah.

I received the alert message, but my phone was on mute and it didn’t sound an alert tone (I had thought it was supposed to sound regardless of whether the phone was muted).

No alert or notification here. This means that:

1. I have accidentally turned off notifications.

Or

2. The allotment is only on 3G.

Or

3. I am on a government blacklist.

I usually have location turned off. Will this make a difference?

Nothing for me here on my phone. My daughter's went off in a fairly mild sort of way.

I won't be ferreting about attempting to understand why I didn't get the alert.

Today it would have been a little over 1 mile. Got home with 15.5 average.

I’d rather spend my last 4 minutes in blissful ignorance on a bike, rather than a mad panic.

Mine went off, helpfully just as I was having a pee in the pub. Other than a couple of obvious and reasonable safeguarding concerns, I really don't see anything to get worked up about.
