If you wanted to save a little bit, you could always try another make. Dimplex are inclined to be more expensive for some reason. At the end of the day, they are all just metal boxes with bricks and elements so I can't see how there can be much difference.

the difference between a trabant and a rolls royce both are tin boxes with 4 wheels and an engine .

difference between a cervelo and an apollo both have 2 wheels and a frame

Electric boilers for wet systems are also available, just thought I'd mention another option.

they are "interesting" to maintain is all i will say on that . The last one i worked on was 2no 7Kw heaters and 2 corresponding supplies , and the elements needed replacing about every 2 years , unless you are in a very soft water area.

I don't think they have changed much over the years , I just notice they are now offering a combi version, but i suspect that will just be fitted with a pump, diverter valve, and not much else, not sure whether their would be any form of anti scale device fitted? The first ones i know was the inline versions in either 3,6 or 9 and 12k IIRC.
