Just looked up my log of TT's - rode the 10 version of the E34 in 1970 & 1971!

Rode an evening 10 there Thursday 9th July 1970, my rookie season. Short 26 and third handicap!

1970 was my 4th season and was the start of a 50year decline. After 3 very good years on Merseyside when I did all my PB's, the family moved down to Kent and I struggled with commuting into London, cold dry winters and living too close to the village pub, with the years following, bringing up 4 kids.

That ride in 1970, I did a short 28 and over the years never matched my Mersey times, but last year did a long 28, so still hope!
