Only really used eBay once or twice, but I often had the impression that the honour system was a little flawed. Anyone giving a -ve feedback was equal to anyone else giving -ve feedback... but that's not really how I felt it should work.
Lets say I'm a particularly unscrupulous seller (or buyer) and lots of people give me -ve feedback. In return, I threaten to give them the same in return. But why should mine have the same weight? If so many people think I am a bad auctioneer, surely my opinion should have less validity?
The same is true in reverse, of course. A highly rated user leaving negative feedback should have more weight than a non-respected user.
But then... meh.
