Checked all the trains before I left. Get to the station. First train delayed, connecting train cancelled.

No new snow here in mid-Surrey, but the radio this morning mentions dire conditions just over in Kent: Closed schools, cancelled trains and blocked motorways.
Flicked on the TV to get some Kent updates. Yes, apparently this chaos has been caused by an astonishing centimetre of snow.

It's all a bit pathetic.

A very light dusting in Sheffield overnight, but as I had a little time this morning I headed out a little way towards the Peaks to have a look at the tops thinking it would be snowy there, but there is nowt there either. It has been snowing on and of since yesterday morning, but there is nothing on the ground.
