Just wet and chilly in Peterborough.
I put bath towels out to dry on Friday, could have been Saturday... they're still wetter than when I put them out

3 inches of snow on the ground this morning. 172 metres AMSL.

Well here in south Cumbria / North Lancashire area we had no snow, not even rain. So obviously all the roads will be closed so we don't miss out on the winter "we will all die in a blizzard" daily express weather forecast. Keep safe in the blue skies and nice, thin, high altitude, white clouds we have here. I am not sure I believe in this snow. I think it is not from England or photoshopped or something.

I love the tv shows asking for wintry photographs and Londoners are trying to get in on it trying to make out a little bit of frost is snow. Awww, bless! So cute of those londoners. It must be hard to understand what snow is down there. The Scottish highlands get so much they probably have 21 words for snow but London must need apple iOS translate to explain it to them!!

Londoners probably feel the same when your brethren complain things are getting a bit hot and steamy at 22°C.

22C?? I think I vaguely remember a hot summer that made that. IIRC the hot summer of '76 when it made the blistering 23C!! It was hot enough to nearly soften tarmac!! The local reservoir nearly dropped down to slightly less than overflowing it was so dry that summer. I think we went two days without rain. What a summer that was. I actually went white I got so sunburnt!! Imagine that I got so tanned I actually became off white almost pink when I got sunburnt! :becool:

Woosh! My joke was so wide of the mark you missed it. I must admit I do have an acquired humour. No idea where I acquired it but I wish I had got a better one when I picked it up.

I hope you picked up on my modification of the Scottish suntan joke at least. The one where they got to go through white first to get to salmon pink sunburn.^_^
