Pretty much everything you described happened. Neds asked me for a light, dogs ran out infront of me, rabbits ran out infront of me, glass was everywhere and getting smacked by wet leaves is very annoying.

It's not too bad on the roads in Dunfermline as you can be out in the country in 5 minutes, I imagine the roads are a bit busier on your side - I was always a bit scared of road cycling but prefer it now. If we ever get a CC Eccosse ride organised in the West you'll need to come along, it's different in a group - good different. Cheers, Mark

Thanks for the offer, as much as I'd like to come on a CC Eccosee ride, I don't think I could keep up with the road bikes on my crappy MTB with slicks

You've not seen the CC Ecossers yet  Honestly, you'd be fine - the golden rule: NO ONE GETS LEFT BEHIND!

Any idea when it is? I'm on the lookout for a cheap road bike, might find one in time  Who goes on the rides anyway?

Hi Jazloc, there is nothing arranged at the moment (as far as I know) but they are very informal and happen when 1 or more cyclists want them to - just decide on a meeting place and route, rough pace/mileage/time, CAKE :hungry: stops then post in the "CC Informal Rides" section. We did a Round the Forth in March (I think?) and there was talk of an Arran trip in August, Colin (Col5632) is really good at getting us all motivated - keep your eyes peeled for any upcoming events.
