So, when your heart stops and your brain dies a few seconds later, god lets you have 42 virgins?

Or have I got that a bit wrong?
don't know you'll have to ask a muslim about that.

good question. Jaded seemed to think that the primordial mess that the universe was created from was a butterfly that evolved from a caterpillar.

"How about the primordial mess is a bit like a butterfly.

Before the mess it was a caterpillar. Then it all got mashed up and made into a butterfly."

Now i kind of find that hard to believe.

Yes. You are right.

It is actually easier to believe that there is a god(s) that makes us go to war and kill people, burn others at the stake, cut foreskins off, blow ourselves up, tax everyone to penury so we can build lovely houses for bishops and big stone columned god houses to bend down in, lock the swings up on a Sunday, divide Ireland into two.

I agree. Caterpillars are quite mad compared with the total, absolute and complete sense of religion.

So - is their god your god? And if not, why not. Did their god make the world, or was it yours? How did you decide which god made the world?

Did they arm wrestle?

Sniff each other's farts?

As posted earlier

"It’s when we don’t know something that we create something else to combat our blatant misunderstandings. Atheists look to organized religion and say, what a bunch of bull. I look at organized religion and for the most part completely agree with the atheist. The God I serve is not about religion, rather He is about true relationship and utter dependence upon Him."

a touch disrespectful i feel.

i am not in any position to judge other faiths beliefs. personally, yes I think it was the same God. Muslims and Jews and Christian all share the same orignal God. The question, as I see it, is the way we should react to the person of Jesus.

How can you not judge other faiths when they are so different?

If the Muslims share your God, why is their religion so different? Surely they should also have dull church services with a choice of

a) big throbbing organs
 sandals and a guitar

?

Nothing, obviously. Or to put it another way ... if god created the world and everything in it, who created god?

that is a question. i have no idea. but how did nothing become something? that is the bigger question.
