So using the fact that car tax was abolished in 1937 & you are claiming this driver paid it, being generous & assuming he only paid it in his first year of driving that would mean he was born in 1919 making him 97/98 depending when his birthday is, so in actual fact he was a young Mercedes driver, that explains a lot.They've paid their road tax, so they can do whatever they like.
