do you match your kit to your ride?

Just getting ready for a ride and noticed all my kit kind of matches.......and im not sure if this is a good thing or not.

Red white and black triban 3
Red black white DHB bib shorts
Red and white DHB socks
Black DHB arm warmers
Red white and black specialized echelon helmet
Lack and red gloves
And black and red DHB shoes which I haven't got the bottle to wear yet

My jersey is a let down though, black and green

Thinking tthere's a theme going on here

Jerseys contain red (but also blue, help for heroes jerseys) or are black and white (new club jersey)

The only thing which doesn't match is my gloves, which I need to find a replacement for...

Nope, never. Just wear what I have, which is not a lot at the moment.

All black shorts mean that you can wear whatever jersey you like. I have some black and fluorescent green shorts but i'm limited as to what jersey/jacket i can wear with them as fluoro green clashes with red,yellow,blue,white,orange,other shades of green etc etc. My latest bike is grey/silver coloured,so i bought a same coloured helmet and shades to match. I'd like to wear a grey jersey as well but i like to be seen,so it's bright colours for me,which all match the bike anyway.

Traditionally, in Thailand, every day has its own colour; today, Tuesday, is pink so I try to match my top with the days colour. I do have a few with pink in them including a pink ONCE top which I think was only used in a few TdF's in the 90's

no.... I have 3 bikes... one is black and white, one is red & black and the other is bright yellow.
The idea of having 3 separate outfits for the 3 separate bikes adds £££'s to cycling which I can't afford.

I've never had a sense of fashion when it comes to the bike, I know what looks good but I'm too tight too buy it and I'd rather wear something which is pratical rather than co ordinated. Slightly OT I think contrasts helps out SMIDSY too.

I have one grey undercoat looking cannondale, my other bike is black, i wear red tops or blue tops or black tops, either black,brown or olive shorts don't ever bother to match and only wear the bright tops when commuting.
