Yes I thought that for @Tin Pot , I thought the picture may give him an idea or two :smile:

I did that last year, worked okayish at the back of my garden but I want the logs more available this year so that means front garden, a bit more presentable and resting on a narrow barren strip next to the drive.

Here's mine. About two-thirds of a pallet width is right for the depth of a log store because that's the limit of reach when you are stacking logs at the back then removing them, especially as the pile grows in height and you're reaching under the cover. Also a shallow but tall log store with a wide frontage exposed to sun and wind will dry better than a big cube of damp wood, especially one that's enclosed in a box.

From the looks of yours I won't be able to execute my plan - I want something only one log deep and the pallet base struts are further apart than that.
