Dilemma - potential new bike...

Well, I finally got to the store to look at the bike. I'd also been considering upgrades my current Road Comp, but decided against that.

So I looked at and sat on the 'new' Road Team Carbon and very nice it was too.

Then I bought this instead:

A 2016 Boardman Road Pro Carbon.


That's the good news.
The bad news is that they didn't have my size in stock. The really bad news is that due to various factors (mainly mine), I won't be able to pick up the new bike until next Sunday which is the day after I do the Yorkshire Tour Sportive...

(In reality that's probably no bad thing - the last thing I want to do is an 81 mile ride on a bike that I won't have had chance to set up properly first)

Really nice that is, did you go to the Halfords on York Road?

Thanks - yes, the York Rd branch. I know some people have a downer on Halfords, but they've always been spot on with me there and we had a good no pressure chat about the various options before I made my decision. Can't wait for next Sunday now!

Much better than last years that is, at least you can ride round happy and it should last you a few years.
Are you selling your old one or keeping it for winter/commuting?

That's yet to be decided.
I'll keep hold of it short term and see how it goes...
