My name actually has nothing to do with cycling. Relates to my village but goes well with the new hobbie.

I doubt it. Got overtaken twice yesterday whilst doing what I thought was a respectable 18mph on the flat !

I was belting along an empty road once when I heard a kind of whoosing sound, I looked behind but there was nothing there, I looked back ahead and there were two skinny guys on bikes I hadn't seen before and they quickly disappeared into the ether. Trust me I was going really fast so there is no way they could have overtaken me.
I went to a bike shop the next day and asked what that whoosing sound was, "It is the special tyres these guys have" one guy said, so I bought the tyres. I checked on the interweb and one guy assured me that it's the wheels so I bought the wheels. Americans know everything so I checked there and one guy said "A carbon frame is the way to go. man" so I bought the carbon frame.
I had my Visa bill today and there was a kind of whooshing sound....
