Hi Bash. I just fitted one 'big' ride in per week, increasing slightly to test the ice really. Started off with a 10 miler, then 15 then 20 etc. once I hit 50 the goalposts moved a bit. I had one bad ride where I mis-judged my fuel intake and bonked badly. Lesson learnt though and I researched mainly on here (CC) and came back stronger and much better prepared. Once you hit the 75 mile level, you won't be far off ready. Didn't ride for a week before the ride. Got really hydrated the night before, absolutely NO BEER, and a nice early night. I'm no expert but this helped me, hope it helps. Ta.Great effort mate well done, have a few questions as I'm building my distance and finished my first 40 miles yesterday.
How many miles do you ride in the week and in what chunks and when you rode the 100 how many times did you stop and did you ride with a friend
