so did I... when tailor made fags went over £2 for 20.

rolling my own costs a tenner a week... a bargain at £520 a year... and most of that is tax.

£15 - £20 a week for me inc baccy, papers and filters plus the lighters, then the occasional pack of 20 down the pub (well 16 in a pack for the price of 25 out of a vending machine)

OK so day 6

Still an ex smoker.

Again the worst time of the day, straight after tea, really wanted one, but sheer pig headed belief in that i will not smoke got me through.

Now, in the kitchen, is my smoking box. Its where i kept the baccy, papers, filters etc etc, and it has 1/2 a pack of baccy, a few filter and about 3 packs of rlling papers in it. I didnt bin them in case i needed them (god knows why) but now i know i dont want them, or need them, they are going in the bin.

Thinking about it, its probably the sheer panic of having no baccy in the house that made me keep it.

Excellent, get rid made. In the bin...now! It's just temptation. Temptation that you don't need or want.

I know that panic... I've had better shots at giving up knowing it's readily available than when I've thrown it out or given it away.

Bin, Bin, Bin, Bin, Bin, Bin, Bin, Bin, Bin!!!!!!!!!!

Should be a good weekend to get out on the bike as well - get the lungs and heart going, you might not see much of a difference, but getting them working will certainly help shift more gunk.

Yep, bin everything relating to smoking - lighters, ashtrays, papers - everything.

If you have a moment of weakness, you'll have bought yourself time to rethink, change your mind, get over it, if you have to walk to the shops to buy everything to have one.

Well done again. Sticking to it here too, no problems at all today.

Well done :highfive:

Done :hyper:

All binned and covered in old baked beans and cat food

Best of luck, I tried that 3 times and every time I fished them out (once from a communal bin!) The rolling tin etc is now packed away, but having no filters/papers/baccy etc means its just there.

I do miss my rollies and the smooth golden virginia, they taste so much better than cigarettes although I was partial to the odd pack of Marlboro Red 100s or Camel.
