I seem to have found an old Diamond Back MTB frame in the back of my trailer. I'd forgotten it was there. I picked up a load of bike bits from freecycle ages ago and in amongst it all was supposed to be a complete Diamond Back in bits. I remember the owner telling me that it was a good ride but he took it apart to rebuild and then moved house and it stayed in bits ever since.

Should I do anything with it or just add it to the scrap bin for weighing in?

Is it just the frame, or the frame and bits?

You could always build it up out of odd stuff, for fun. Or have a look at

for some mad ideas...

Edit: you'll like the 2 x 4 lowracer recumbent...

Well, technically there should be all the bits in the junk pile somewhere but I would need to sort out matching components and decent parts, some of which may have already been used on my other hack.

I thought the 2x4 was going to be a 4x2, 4 wheels with 2 wheel drive. The 2x4 timber recumbent was at Nottingham I think. Should be called 'The Stud' as in stud work timber.

If I keep it I might recreate a bike I built in my youth.

I think the missing bits would be bits I would replace anyway. Wheels and tyres, rear mech, chainwheel and pedals and the seat as well as sundry items like cables and brake blocks.

I might see if there are any straight wheels in the pile of bits in a moment.
