When I got mine which must be at 10 years ago no all delivered no extra charges to be paid but I think that customs have tightened up on this since then. A quick look at their FAQ's and it states:-
To USA, UK and 'Rest of the World'
You have a choice of delivery by Airmail or FedEx Courier (except continental Europe and Canada where FedEx is the only option). You may have to pay local taxes or duties when the package arrives.
Airmail takes 1-2 weeks. Our shopping cart calculates the postage based total weight – typically NZ$4-10 to Europe or Asia. USA orders are freight-free. In the UK you'll possibly have to pay VAT and a handling fee to Royal Mail before they'll release your parcel. If so then you'll receive a 'Fee to Pay' card with options for online payment and delivery, or collection from your local Delivery Office. More details at www.royalmail.com or 0845 605 0767.
Delivery via FedEx Courier takes 2-4 working days… typically 2 days for Asia, 3 for USA, 4 for Europe and elsewhere in the world. Our shopping cart calculates the cost based on total weight – around NZ$15-30. USA orders are currently freight-free.
I would say that even with any extra charges to pay on arrival it is still worth it and having worn mine for the last 9 winters it still looks as good now as it did then.
Throughout the winter I just wear this and a base layer and for me it has coped well down to -10.
