Widening the discussion here..... are are all still very young.. is there not a danger that you could become 1 trick ponies?
i.e. only ever training for 10/25 TTs..

Surely you should also be including some 4/5 hour rides at a quick pace to broaden your cycling outlook.. mind you that type of ride on that bike is gonna be a challenge!

yes i do long rides aswell but we only really train for tt's is that its the only type of event we are really able to join without being absolutely amazing.

just a little heads up, to go from a 30 sumin to a 28 is pritty easy, it just is ( like going from 5mph to 10 mph, but when you go from 15mph to 20mph its alot harder )

so goin from a 28 to a 24 will be hard, nearer impossible in such a short amount of time, the top lads will be goin for like 20's maybe ( the ghs course can be under 10 mile btw )
+1 Time is harder to lose when you're going faster.

The GHS final is on the K33 which is one of the last times that course will probably be used as new traffic calming measures have been put in which creates bottleneck situations....not good at 25mph+

The top guys will be doing short 21s on the K33, perhaps less if riders like Alex Royle are on form.

scott s10 - don't ignore other training. Being a strong tester could be beneficial if you find yourself in a break in a road race - a lot of the strong road racers round here time trial regularly and win races from a TT-style breakaway.

Nice frame - most people hated the look of it when it was released but it has grown on them (look back in the TTF archives). I'm tempted by a Scott Plasma2 for next year.

dnt jst do time trials at your age for god sake... ( im 15 btw, a rather gd road racer )

gear restrictions are so you dont kill your legs so young, they also help with legs speed. so you cant go into a stupidly big gear, like a 50-12, the restriction 15-16 year olds is 50-16 i believe...

do some road races i'd say, and also i wouldnt go spending 2 grand on a bike without trying road races first, as you may decide once you try them you like them better, or are better at

so what training plan has your coach given you? or is he just the club coach who delivers a training session like at my club, cos there's a differance

nt trying to be horrid to you jst trying to help you out
