I don't recall them being criticised for putting on the agony or only being concerned with their own publicity profile though. Couldn't be to do with Davina being a woman could it?

Don't try to make this a gender issue when it's not. I'm fairly sure there have been previous women who have undertaken such things, the person from Blue Peter springs to mind. I have little recollection of her or any of the others "hamming it up". Unlike Davina.

But 'hamming it up' is just your judgement isn't it. You don't know that she wasn't in pain.

I am fairly sure it was tough, the problem is that with her it's difficult to tell when she's not hamming it as the slightest bit of inconvenience is presented as suffering. To me it devalues any effort made; she was either ill-prepared, ill-advised, incorrectly attired, or hamming it big time - or all of them.

I thought we had already established that these are my opinions and yours are yours and theres are theres etc. No need to keep pointing it out, I grasped it.

And I also thought that I had highlighted several pages ago that the "well, let's see if you could do it" argument is best left to anyone under the age of 12.
